The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an accomplished SOC Manager to lead and evolve its Security Operations Centre. This is a pivotal role focused on driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of the SOC, ensuring the business remains resilient against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of SOC analysts, incident responders, and threat hunters.
  • Build a culture centred on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement robust training and career development plans to nurture talent and strengthen retention.
Strategic & Operational Excellence
  • Define and execute the SOC’s strategic direction in alignment with wider business and cybersecurity objectives.
  • Enhance threat detection, escalation, and response processes to maintain best-in-class capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, compliance, risk, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across security operations.
Performance & Resource Management
  • Set and monitor KPIs and service-level objectives to measure SOC effectiveness.
  • Oversee budget planning, resource management, and cost-optimisation initiatives.
  • Lead decision-making on SOC tooling, automation, and workflow optimisation to maximise coverage and efficiency.
Governance & Reporting
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on SOC performance, key threat trends, and major incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks, maintaining audit readiness across all SOC activities.

Your Profile
