About the Role:
Our client, a leading biotechnology end user, are seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to advance the use of machine learning in drug discovery and bioinformatics. You will work alongside biologists, chemists, and data experts to build models that accelerate research and uncover new insights in precision medicine.
The role involves applying deep learning and statistical techniques to large-scale biological datasets, with the aim of driving innovation in treatments and therapies. This is an opportunity to apply cutting-edge ML research in a real-world healthcare setting and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimise predictive models for molecular and genetic data.
Collaborate with scientists and engineers to apply ML techniques in bioinformatics.
Publish and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support data strategy and infrastructure development for large datasets.
Requirements:
Masters degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and statistical modelling.
Strong programming ability in Python and R.
Experience with cloud computing platforms for large-scale ML workloads.
