Team Lead for DevOps - Establishing Team in Stockholm, Sweden.

We are partnering with a leading technology company in Sweden, known for their innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. With their headquarters in Stockholm, they have been at the forefront of driving technological advancements in various sectors. Now, they are expanding their operations and are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Lead for DevOps to establish and lead a new team.

 

Position Overview

As the Team Lead for DevOps, you will be responsible for spearheading the establishment of a new DevOps team in Stockholm, complementing the work of the existing teams at their head office. You will play a vital role in setting up the new  team structure, defining processes, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of development and operations, thereby optimizing the company's software delivery lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of talented DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional growth.
  • Establish team goals, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, to understand business requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure effective communication and coordination between teams.
  • Design and implement DevOps processes, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing, to enhance software quality and accelerate product development.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to enhance the company's DevOps practices.

 

Requirements

  • Strong background in software development, preferably with proficiency in multiple programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, methodologies, and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to drive Agile practices within the team.
  • Fluent Swedish and English language skills
