Job Description:

 

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer with a strong focus on Azure and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools to join our dynamic data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our Azure-based data lake and data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business objectives, ensuring data solutions align with company goals.
  • Optimize and tune ETL processes to improve data quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Implement data security and compliance measures to protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues to ensure data pipelines operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to provide them with clean, curated data for advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in data engineering and Azure services.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 2+ years experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on designing and implementing ETL processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages used for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Azure certifications are a plus.
