Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Role Overview:

 

As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions on the Azure cloud platform. Your expertise in Azure services, Databricks, and Snowflake will be instrumental in transforming and optimizing our clients' data architecture and analytics capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data engineering solutions on the Azure cloud platform.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Utilize Databricks and Snowflake to develop and optimize data processing and analytics workflows.

  • Perform data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes to support analytical needs.

  • Implement best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and systems.

  • Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends, providing insights for continuous improvement.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a consultancy or client-facing role.

  • Strong proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, etc.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform and its integration within Azure environments.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala for data manipulation and transformation.

  • Experience in designing and optimizing data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security principles.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or related certifications.

  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and their data services.

  • Experience with DevOps practices in data engineering and CI/CD pipelines.
